ArtCares for Kids
ArtCares for Kids,
based in Miami, is comprised of a group of volunteers who understand the psychological, emotional and physical benefits of engaging in the creative process through Art.
ArtCares for Kids creates a positive environment where children affected by challenging, traumatic experiences, or life-threatening diseases, can safely express their feelings about the world around them, and provide a welcome diversion from their surroundings. ArtCares provides much needed services to children undergoing a difficult phase or trauma in their life. The goal of these dedicated volunteers is to provide a sense of relief and hope to children by engaging them in a positive, gentle and safe creative process.
ArtCares for Kids is presently serving our community in the following venues:
- University of Miami/Holtz Children’s Hospital (pediatric hematology/oncology clinic),
- San Juan Bosco Community Center (serving Little Havana),
- Children’s Resources and Children Home Society
