Jorge Mendia is a well known and well respected physician. Dr. Mendia received a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University and a medical degree from the University of Miami. In addition to his thriving practice, he has served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Hospital as well as on their Medical Executive Committee.
Dr. Mendia was a Village of Key Biscayne Council Member for eight years from 2002-2010, including Vice Mayor from 2002-2004 and from 2006-2008. Dr. Mendia is one of the founding board members of the Key Biscayne Community Foundation, and has served on the Board of Directors since 2004.
